Private Bots and AI Processing
Private bots are access-controlled inside Ask My Bot. They require sign-in, are limited to the owner and allowed email addresses, and are not made available through public bot pages, public discovery surfaces, or embeddable widgets.
To make a private bot work, we still need to process its content through our service providers. Uploaded documents, pasted text, website imports, images, bot settings, chat messages, and relevant retrieved context may be processed by systems we use for authentication, storage, search, indexing, and AI responses.
- Firebase and Google Cloud: Account, storage, database, hosting, and background processing infrastructure.
- Pinecone: Vector search infrastructure used to store and retrieve indexed knowledge for each bot.
- Google Gemini: AI model processing used for extraction, OCR, embeddings, and answering questions from retrieved bot context.
We do not sell your uploaded content, private bot content, chats, leads, or indexed knowledge. Our use of service providers is to operate Ask My Bot, secure the service, provide support, comply with law, and improve reliability.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Regular security audits and updates

No internet service can guarantee perfect security. If you plan to upload highly sensitive, regulated, confidential, or legally privileged material, you are responsible for deciding whether Ask My Bot and its service providers meet your security, compliance, and retention requirements.

Google documents that Gemini API prompts, responses, and context may be retained for abuse monitoring and policy enforcement, and that billing-enabled logs are not used for product improvement or model development by default unless a project owner chooses to share datasets or feedback. These providers may update their policies over time.
